Merced County Goes Live with Velosimo Connect, Accela to Laserfiche Integration
Merced County has officially launched its Accela to Laserfiche integration through Velosimo Connect, marking a significant step in streamlining records management and ensuring long-term access to critical documents. The new integration enables the County to efficiently archive both historical and current permitting records, easing the load on its core permitting system while maintaining full compliance with retention policies.
By transitioning archived files into Laserfiche, Merced County enhances storage efficiency, reduces infrastructure costs, and improves the reliability of accessing legacy records. This effort supports internal operational efficiency and broader goals around transparency and data governance.
“This integration gives us the ability to manage our documents in a way that’s both efficient and forward-thinking. It’s a practical step that supports our broader digital strategy,” said Mark J. Mimms, Director, Merced County Community and Economic Development.
Kris Trujillo, Founder of Velosimo, noted, “Merced County’s go-live demonstrates how thoughtful technology choices can solve real operational challenges. This is a smart, forward-thinking step that will serve their staff and residents well over time.”
In addition to streamlined storage, the County gains access to Laserfiche’s AI-powered features, including intelligent document classification and enhanced search capabilities—tools that make archived content more usable and accessible in the long run.
Merced County now joins more than 100 agencies nationwide leveraging Velosimo’s Accela to Laserfiche connector, including the State of Oregon Building Codes Division, Rancho Cucamonga, CA, San Joaquin County, CA, and Fort Worth, TX.
