City of Tampa, FL, Brings Accela and Cybersource Together with Velosimo Connect™

The City of Tampa, FL, has chosen Velosimo Connect to support payments for permitting, licensing, business taxes, and other city services through its Accela and Cybersource integration.

The integration connects Accela Citizen Access with Cybersource, allowing residents and businesses to securely complete payments online and automatically return to Accela once their payment is complete.

For agencies like Tampa, connected payment processing creates a clearer link between the payment and the associated city record. The solution supports credit card and ACH payments, convenience and service fees, PCI-compliant processing, and daily reconciliation.

“Payments are a critical part of the citizen experience, but the work does not stop when the payment is submitted,” said Maury Blackman, CEO of Velosimo. “By connecting Accela with Cybersource, Tampa is helping its teams keep transaction data accurate, easier to reconcile, and tied to the records staff rely on every day.”

Tampa turned to Velosimo when its existing version of Cybersource was announced for end-of-life (EOL), creating a need to update its integration. Velosimo Connect provides a seamless payment experience across both Accela On-Premise and Cloud environments and is easy to set up and maintain. With Velosimo Connect, the City can simplify payment processes, improve payment visibility, and make it easier for staff to manage and reconcile payments associated with permitting, licensing, taxes, and other services.
