Coweta County has tapped Velosimo to implement Velosimo Connect to integrate the County’s Accela Civic Platform and its official records management system, Laserfiche. This integration will automate the transfer and archiving of essential permitting and zoning documents, reinforcing the County’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and operational excellence.
Currently, documents processed through Accela are not automatically archived in Laserfiche, the County’s approved system for long-term digital recordkeeping. This gap has created challenges for meeting Georgia’s mandated retention requirements and responding efficiently to public records requests. With the Velosimo connector in place, documents such as permits, licenses, and applications will be automatically archived in real time, ensuring compliance with retention policies and strengthening Coweta’s ability to serve its constituents.
“Governments are under increasing pressure to modernize operations without creating new manual burdens,” said Maury Blackman, CEO of Velosimo. “With Velosimo Connect, Coweta County gains a dependable, no-code bridge between Accela and Laserfiche, making everyday workflows smoother, compliance automatic, and service delivery more effective.”
Coweta County joins a growing list of over 100 government agencies leveraging Velosimo’s purpose-built Accela-to-Laserfiche connector, including Fort Worth, TX; Rancho Cucamonga, CA; San Joaquin County, CA; and the State of Oregon Building Codes Division. This decision aligns with Coweta’s broader efforts to adopt digital tools that modernize government operations and improve public service delivery.
