The County of Mendocino, CA, has selected Velosimo Connect™ to integrate Bluebeam with Accela, linking digital plan review activities with the permit records staff use to manage projects.
The selection followed an RFP process led by ArcStratos, a Velosimo partner, which will also lead implementation of the integration.
Once implemented, the Accela and Bluebeam integration will help streamline plan review by connecting document review in Bluebeam with the associated records in Accela. Key features and benefits include:
For a county with a large, predominantly rural service area, integrating Accela and Bluebeam will help streamline plan review by reducing manual file transfers and keeping review activity connected to the permit record. Applicants and staff will have better visibility into the review process, from initial submission through approval.
"Plan review is where a lot of permitting time goes, and much of it is spent moving files and comments between systems," said Maury Blackman, CEO of Velosimo. "By connecting Bluebeam with Accela, Mendocino County will give its reviewers a dependable way to keep plans, markups, and permit records aligned, so projects can move forward with less back and forth."
Velosimo monitors and maintains the integration, making necessary adjustments when either connected system changes to help ensure continued functionality. By connecting Accela and Bluebeam, Mendocino County can reduce manual document handling, keep plan reviews tied to the appropriate permit records, and help staff move projects through the review process more efficiently.
